  1. Walk along Digley Road until you reach a turning-circle in front of a large gate. Just prior to the turning-circle there are steps on the right leading to a kissing-gate and a path through the wood; you emerge by another kissing-gate onto a road. Opposite there is a public footpath sign and another kissing-gate. Through it, turn left along the fence on your left. Presently the path bears right to a revolving metal gate.
  2. Walk past the garages at the end of a row of cottages to another revolving metal gate and follow the wall on your right to another kissing-gate. Bear half left across the next field to a stile by a gateway in the opposite corner. Through the gateway follow the wall on the left up to a stile ahead beside a gateway on the left. Over the stile, continue with the wall on your left to a stile in the corner. Cross it and bear slightly right to a step-stile to the right of the right hand of two gates in the wall opposite. Turn right up the road.
  3. At the crossroads continue straight on, but take the next road on the right, called Cliff Road. When the road forks, keep right, Mellor Lane, and maintain all the way to the next road junction. At the road junction keep straight on, going by a large farm on the right. Keeping on the road, follow it as it bears left and keep left at the next fork to drop downCross the beck and climb the other side to the A635. Go straight over and walk up the stony walled lane. At the next road turn left up into Upperthong.
  4. Go left at the fork, and immediately before the first house on the right find a stile on the right. Walk straight ahead to the next stile between two gates, and continue with the wall on your right to the next stile and then straight across the next field to the next stile. Turn right down the lane. Where the concrete surface bears left keep straight on down a walled lane. Follow this lane, keeping on the main track and ignoring left forks, all the way round to the next surfaced road. Where this road forks keep right (straight on) up a road called simply). Ignore a public footpath sign pointing left and follow the road round to the right. Soon the surfacing ends and you pass through a farm into a walled lane, which you follow back to Upperthong.
  5. At the main road keep straight on through the village. Immediately after the Royal Oak turn left into a lane and continue down the macadem path. At the estate road go right for a few yards to find a walled ginnel on the left leading down to the next road. Continue right for a couple of yards to a gap-stile on the left. Now follow the wall on the left down to a stile at the A635.
  6. Cross straight over and go through a gap-stile, down some steps. and straight down with a wall/fence on your left to a stile. Through this continue down, bearing right. Now turn left, disregarding a climbing track directly ahead, then right, sharp left ignoring another climbing track ahead, then sharp right. Next go left over the bridge.
  7. Once across the bridge turn right and follow a wall on your left up to a stile. Now bear slightly left, up to the left of a solitary tree, to a gap in the wall corner. Go through it, and bear slightly left up some old steps. Continue straight on up with the wall on your left to more old steps and a stile at the road. Turn right for a few yards to a lane which forks off left.
  8. This leads to a farm where you continue straight on, roughly in the same direction along a stretch of walled lane between buildings to a stile by a gate. Continue with the wall on your left to a stile in the next corner. Continue, now with the wall on your right. to another stile. Bear slightly left over the next field, in the direction of an isolated house. There is a step-stile a few yards to the left of a metal gate, cross it and follow the wall on your right to a stile onto the road,
  9. Turn right, but directly beyond the garden-fence of the isolated house at the public footpath sign, bear left into a grassy lane. This leads to a kissing-gate. Now follow the wall on your right to a gap-stile in the corner and then continue with the wall on your left. Cross a stile and follow the wall to another revolving metal gate.
  10. Now keep beside the wall on your left until it leads down to a gap-stile, and continue to the very steep step-stile a few yards to the right of the wall corner straight ahead. Follow the wall on the right straight down to the fence at the bottom. Turn right through the stile. After a couple of yards go left again through a kissing-gate and down a fenced path between gardens. Cross straight over the road to a ginnel. Follow the path down to steps and another road. Cross diagonally right to find more steps down to the main road. You will see the car park to your right.
